Performs a variety of technical procedures involving the administration of radionuclides for the in vitro/in vivo diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n · Assists the Medical Director with the Application of Nuclear Medicine Techniques /n /n · Operates the Nuclear Medicine gamma camera, counters, computers, probes, scanners and other related equipment. /n /n · Reviews with nursing personnel the preparation and procedure to be performed on patients. /n /n · Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients using sterile technique. This includes therapeutic doses. /n /n · Performs such procedures as organ imaging, both static and dynamic, physiological tracer (function) studies and radio assay studies. /n /n · Prepares exam room for patients and insures that needed supplies are at hand for each procedure. /n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n · High School Grad or Equiv /n /n · Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. /n /n · Current Florida State license in Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology upon hire /n /n · Current certification with ARRT or NMTCB upon hire /n /n · Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) upon hire /n /n · One hour of Hip & Knee replacement education within 6 months of hire date, then annually /n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
