emergency care, a primary stroke center, orthopedics and the only
licensed obstetric and pediatric units in Charlotte County. /n /n/n
/n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n Under general
supervision, is responsible for the Diagnostic XR workflow to
assure efficient operation. Performs imaging of Diagnostic XR exams
following the Florida Hospital protocols. Develops knowledge and
competency of technologists and students by overseeing image
quality and providing technical imaging support. Utilizes the
hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging
Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships
and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and
commercial agencies. Actively participates in outstanding customer
service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships
that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the Florida Hospital
Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulation of all
applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting

Program. /n /n · Performs all exams, on all types of patients:
Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP) and Emergency Department (ED) using
FH XR protocols. Follows FH policy for proper identification of
patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam.
Properly screens patient for contrast allergies. (Exam Supervision
and Administration) /n /n · Completes all exams in a timely manner,
keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty
table time. Follows through after completing exam with
communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s. Maintains
supplies by notifying manager to order items when par levels are
low and puts new stock away upon arrival to department. (Personal
Productivity and Accountability) /n /n · Utilizes the knowledge of
a full range of imaging procedures and equipment in assigned
department. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific
factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on
patient of all ages; adapts protocols as necessary. Helps to
develop knowledge and competency of technologists and students; may
serve as clinical instructor to the XR students. (Clinical
Competence) /n /n · Properly screens patients of childbearing age,
and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing
radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Maintains
properly stocked, organized and clean room. Practices infection
control standards, radiation safety (properly wears dosimeter
badge), and utilizes approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Employee
job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the
point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee
will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling
pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of
pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of
personal protective equipment. (Safety and the Environment of Care)
/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experiences
you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n · 2 experience in hospital
setting as a Registered Technologist /n /n · Florida Department of
Health – General Radiographer /n /n · ARRT - American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists /n /n · BCLS - Basic Life Support /n /n/n
