Job Description:
Drafter/Detailer Winter Springs , Fl Pay $DOE Responsibilities:
Drafting: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create
accurate and detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and
schematics. Structural steel detailing. Interpretation of Designs:
Understand and interpret rough sketches, drawings, and
specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
Precision and Accuracy: Ensure that all drawings are precise,
accurate, and comply with industry standards, regulations, and
project requirements. Material and Dimensional Specifications:
Incorporate material specifications, dimensions, and tolerances
into drawings as per project requirements. Collaboration: Work
closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to
understand project goals, requirements, and constraints.
Collaborate on design modifications and improvements as needed.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all
drawings, revisions, and project-related correspondence. Quality
Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and checks of drawings to
identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. Meeting Deadlines:
Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and
milestones. Communication: Communicate regularly with project
stakeholders to provide updates on drawing progress, address
concerns, and seek clarification on specifications or requirements.
Stay updated on advancements in CAD software, industry standards,
and best practices for drafting and detailing. Continuous Learning:
Detailer Requirements: 5 years of experience with Tekla Structures
or SDS2. Working with Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Projects.
Knowledge of or some experience in AutoCAD. Knowledge of AISC,
AISD, and OSHA Standards Strong attention to detail and
problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal
and written, in English. Able to work independently and as part of
