All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Part Time Weekend Days /n /n/n /n Shift : Friday/Saturday/Sunday 9am-630pm /n /n/n /n Willing to accept Radiology Tech's wanting to be cross-trained! /n /n/n /n Location: 2450 NORTH ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL KISSIMMEE 34744 /n /n/n /n The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Kissimmee /n /n/n /n · AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital /n /n/n /n · Conveniently located near Walt Disney World /n /n/n /n · The team is here is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties /n /n/n /n · AdventHealth Kissimmee has recently expanded our existing tower by 3-floors and 80-beds, including new ancillary spaces such as Inpatient Rehab, Inpatient Dialysis, Laboratory, and Imaging services. /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n Under general supervision, primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following the age specific guidelines of AH parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with the progress of these exams. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of AdventHealth. The tech II position accepts additional duties in the department, such as keeping, counting and recording of statistics, tracking and ordering supplies, performing complicated 3D and CTA workstation studies, overseeing smooth operations of campus locations, performing the more difficult exams, teaching students/new technologists and other tasks as assigned by the department manager. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Performs all exams, including the most difficult, using AdventHealth CT protocols. Uses AdventHealth policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patients for any contrast allergies. /n /n - Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving, minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OP’s. /n /n - Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors and monitors. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients on all ages, adapting protocols as necessary. /n /n - Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. /n /n - Reviews all images of all exams, repeating sequences as necessary for best possible result; assists others in these decisions. /n /n/n /n/n /n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n Minimum qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Florida State License- general radiographer /n /n - ARRT – R /n /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification /n /n/n /n/n /n Preferred qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - AS, AA and/or BS in a healthcare related discipline /n /n - Prior CT experience on GE CT scanners /n /n - Prior CT experience /n /n - ARRT – CT /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
